Hello, I am the owner of Caddis Shack Fly Fishing Shop/Guide Service. I will make my 15 years of trout fishing Michigan's pristine waters work for you. I have fished the U.P's waters for 13 years.
I have 9 years of experience guiding. Our dedicated staff will work hard for you and put you on fish. I cut my teeth by Trout fishing on the Gun Powder River in Maryland in the 90's.
My story starts when my grandfather passed and I was given his fly rod. He owned one of the first cabins between Croton and Newaygo on the Muskegon River. I come from a family of trout fishermen, it is in my blood. Trout fishing is a true passion of mine. I am backed by Sage, Waterworks/Lamson, Rio, Umpqua, Simms and Smith/Sun Cloud Optics
Trout fishing is not a sport, it's a passion passed through generations. Thank you for visiting my site, our staff looks forward to bringing you our extensive experience. See you on the water.
May god bless you.

Hey everybody… My name is Todd and let’s fish. I grew up in SW Michigan and learned how to fish from family and friends. I have guided all over the Lake Michigan and Lake Superior Tributaries as well as their surrounding water sources. I currently work as a child and adolescent mental health and AODA therapist as my full-time occupation. My passion lies with the big fish calledSalmon, Steelhead and Brown Trout that make their runs in the tributaries of our Great Lakes in the fall and spring of each year! While these species are a challenge, they offer an experience that lasts forever! Timing, knowledge and a little luck are the keys! Take your kids! Let’s get the next generation started!! I don’t promise anything but I will guarantee a positive experience and an educational day on the water! Let’s go fish and give these great fish a try! I have a camera, a lot of flies, knowledge and a lot of bad jokes (appropriate jokes by the way…)! Hope to see you on the water!

I have been fishing the rivers and lakes in the Upper Peninsula for about 20 years. I became heavily into fishing about 5 years ago when a friend took me Steelheading. After a few successful trips I decided to start fly fishing for Steelhead. I liked fly fishing so much that I started fishing the rivers and lakes I grew up on with my fly rod. When I'm not fishing or working... I'm tying flies. Go fishing and good luck!
Sincerely,
-William
